How it works

From application to first payout

    Apply

    Complete the seller application. It takes around 10 minutes with your links and product details on hand. Every section after the basics is optional, and every application is reviewed by a person.

  2. 02

    Review

    We respond within 5 business days, regardless of outcome. If a product needs more work before it is ready for the marketplace, we explain what would change our decision.

  3. 03

    Onboarding

    Approved sellers go through a short onboarding (live or asynchronous, your choice). We confirm the source-code policy, refund stance, and payout details, and you sign the seller agreement.

  4. 04

    List the product

    Use the seller dashboard to add product details, imagery, pricing, and your first release artifact. Listings go live after a brief editorial review, typically within 24 hours.

  5. 05

    Ship updates

    Publish new releases whenever you are ready. Owners receive an email and a download link automatically. Buyers always have access to the latest version under the lifetime-updates commitment.

  6. 06

    Get paid

    Each sale credits 90% to your wallet after a 7-day settlement hold. Withdraw any time you have $5 or more available, to any of up to three saved bank methods. We push the funds within 1–2 business days. No KYC, no monthly schedules — you control when to cash out.

What we look for

SudoSell is curated, not an open marketplace. We don’t expect perfection. We do expect a working product, an honest description, and someone behind the email.

  • Production-quality

    Code we'd be comfortable shipping ourselves. Tests, docs, sane defaults, a working demo.

  • Full source by default

    Buyers receive the complete codebase, not a binary. We also accept partially-protected listings (trading algos, ML weights) on a case-by-case basis.

  • Commercial license

    Buyers can use the product in client work, paid SaaS, internal tooling, and production deployments without per-seat fees.

  • Lifetime updates

    At least 12 months of patches and feature updates per sale. Buyers keep every release shipped during ownership.

  • Honest description

    What it does, what it doesn't, what's planned. We'll never list a product whose marketing exceeds the reality.

  • Responsive support

    You commit to a support SLA in the application. We surface it on the product page so buyers know what to expect.

Refund policy · seller protection

Once a buyer downloads, the sale is final

SudoSell uses a download-locked refund policy, which is materially different from blanket 7-day refunds. The goal is to protect sellers from buyers who copy code then refund, while still giving buyers a clear escalation path when something is genuinely broken.

Pre-download: 7-day refund request

Within 7 days of purchase, and before any release is downloaded, the buyer can request a refund from their purchases page. SudoSell reviews each request manually within 1–2 business days. Once a request is filed, downloads on that order are paused until we decide.

After download: refunds are not automatic

Once the buyer has downloaded any release of your product, they cannot trigger a refund themselves. Sales are final at the moment of first download.

If the product doesn't work, the buyer contacts you first

Buyers experiencing issues open a support ticket on your product. You respond within your declared support SLA (e.g. 24h on weekdays). Most issues are resolved here.

Escalation to SudoSell: only for unresponsive sellers or unfixed seller-caused issues

If you don't respond within a reasonable window, OR you fail to fix an issue that's clearly your fault (broken core functionality, missing files, security vulnerability, false advertising), the buyer can escalate to a SudoSell refund ticket.

SudoSell adjudicates

We review the original product page, what was promised, what shipped, your response time, and whether the issue is genuinely seller-caused (vs. user error, environment misconfig, version mismatch, etc.). We share the decision with both parties in writing.

Refunds are not available for

  • • Change of mind after download
  • • “Didn’t read the description”
  • • Compatibility issues clearly stated on the product page
  • • Environment-specific failures (Node version, OS, hosting setup)
  • • User configuration errors
  • • Feature requests or scope expansion

Refunds are available, even after download

  • • Core functionality is broken and seller didn’t fix within SLA
  • • Critical files are missing from the release
  • • Security vulnerability disclosed without a fix
  • • Product description materially misrepresents what shipped
  • • Seller is unresponsive for 14+ days on a sev1 issue

Pricing transparency

The 10% breakdown

We charge a flat 10% per sale. That covers everything: hosted downloads, fraud screening, refund adjudication, customer support tooling, and the curation team. On a $100 sale, you receive $90credited to your wallet — flat, every time. Buyers pay the third-party processing fee on top of the listed price, so it doesn’t come out of your earnings. Platform-funded promotional discounts (sitewide sales, marketing credits) are absorbed by SudoSell, not by the seller.
